In the original ‘Iβrit (Hebrew) Text, and as rendered in the current translation, appears an alternation of genders in reference to BEING before and as He is coming to Manifestation. 

The literal formulation is :

 (Now BEING [feminine form] does not know HIMSELF and) desires [masculine form] to know HERSELF.

   To know HERSELF HE enunciates HIS Attributes.

At this Stage of complete ONENESS, though there is no manifest Differentiation yet between Masculine and Feminine, the Masculine and Feminine Modes are already present in Essence, and can be perceived from the perspective of the Manifested, hence their expression in the Holy Verses.
