In the
Bhagavad-Gita (Vedic Holy Scripture), the spiritual Chain is described as
starting with Vaivashvan (the “Deva”, or Angel, of the Sun), directly
enlightened by the Divine; then the Torch passed from Vaivashvan to his son,
Vaivashvata Manu, who himself handed it over to his son, and so on, in a chain
of “Rajarishis”, or “Kings-Saints” (Bhagavad-Gita 4.2). The Hebrew name
of Malkişedeq has a similar meaning: “King of Justice”. Actually this
name refers to all the links of the Chain of Awakening, also called “the Order
of Malkişedeq”. Ĥanoķ was the first “Malkişedeq”
; and according to the oral Tradition, after his lifetime which spanned 365
years (a number evoking the solar cycle) he ascended to Heaven and was raised to
the position of Chief Angel - this is the Solar Angel mentioned in the Vedic
Tradition; this meaning that he was the first realized soul, reintegrated in the
original, “solar” nature (the Sun symbolizing the Consciousness), and
therefore bearer of the Awakening for all.
